Ulsan Metropolitan City has announced that it will begin accepting applications for its Youth U-Home rental housing at four sites, including Daldong, starting November 24, ahead of their completion.
A total of 96 units will be supplied: 26 in Daldong, 23 in Baekhap, 31 in Samsan and 16 in Taehwa. The supply includes units designed for housing-vulnerable groups as well as units prioritized for care leavers preparing for independent living.

Eligible applicants are young adults who, as of the announcement date for tenant recruitment (November 24, 2025), do not own a home and either reside in Ulsan or have their income base in the city, and who meet certain additional criteria.
Application documents will be accepted for three days, from December 8 to 10. Successful applicants are scheduled to be announced in February next year, and move-ins will begin in early March.
Detailed information is available on the Ulsan Urban Corporation website (umca.co.kr).

The four Youth U-Home complexes, including the Daldong site, are five-story buildings with an exclusive floor area of around 20 square meters per unit. Each unit comes with specialized built-in amenities such as a refrigerator, washing machine, induction cooktop, sink and built-in wardrobe. In the shared areas, each building will be equipped with at least one seasonal storage space per household and community facilities such as shared lounges and study rooms, with specific configurations varying by site.

An Ulsan City official stated, “We launched the Youth U-Home program in earnest in 2022. Following the supply of 36 units in Seongan-dong last year and 36 units in Sinjeong-dong this year, we plan to supply all 150 units currently under construction across six Youth U-Home sites by the first half of next year.”

The official added, “Going forward, we will continue to expand the supply of U-Home units by simultaneously promoting new-construction purchase-agreement projects that encourage participation from private developers and help stimulate the construction industry, as well as specialized public rental housing projects built directly by the city with national government support.”
